Business Description:

(1) Advancement of multi-purpose air purification systems based on air purification (scrubbernols, metal fibers, and high-performance zeolite) as core technologies and their application to nuclear power and various industrial min.

(2) Projects to prevent new coronary pneumonia and other infectious diseases

(3) SMR support project: R&D for application to medium-sized modular reactors (GXBWR1000), etc., in which Japan is internationally competitive by integrating nuclear safety measures such as filter vents and high-performance zeolites, and advanced general industrial technologies such as hull structure and vibration isolation technologies, as well as R&D for application to international standards and standards such as IAEA. SMR industry development project in Japan based on international standards and norms such as IAEA

(4) Coexistence with renewable energy: load-following operation by RIP to address electricity supply-demand constraints, collaboration with Institute of SCIENCE TOKYO (hydrogen synthesis fuel), and study of the possibility of direct air purification (DAC).

(5) Nuclear human resource development programs, especially for young engineers to pass on their skills, knowledge and experience, and to provide incentives. Collaboration and support with academic societies (Japan Society of Maintenology, Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, Atomic Energy Society of Japan)

MHI exhibited at the World Nuclear Energy Exhibition (WNE2023) in Paris. Approximately 26,000 people visited the exhibition, and while the world's leading nuclear power manufacturers and electric power companies participated, only MHI, the Association of the Nuclear Energy Industry, and the company participated from Japan.
