Research Outline
We are developing a load-following, long-cycle, renewable energy symbiotic SMR named GX BWR. A reactor-integrated recirculating pump (RIP) is installed at the bottom of the naturally circulating reactor to enable load-following operation by varying the electrical output from 300 MWe to 1000 MWe according to changes in core flow rate. The containment cooling system and seismic isolation rubber were installed in the hull structure of the reactor building, eliminating the need for seismic and earthquake evaluation of the site requirements and significantly shortening the on-site construction period. GX ENERGY has started signing NDA agreements with several U.S. and European companies.
