Research Outline
The need for rechargeable batteries is more important than ever for efficient energy use. Many rechargeable batteries are used in our daily life, and most of them are lithium-ion batteries from the viewpoint of energy density. Unfortunately, lithium-ion batteries use rare elements such as lithium and cobalt, which our country is forced to import from a resource perspective. In light of the recent international situation, the development of rechargeable battery technology that can be produced locally, including so-called "raw materials," is essential for stable energy control in Japan. We are committed to developing new, locally produced, next-generation rechargeable batteries by advancing the technology we have cultivated for lithium-ion batteries.
