Research Outline

We are conducting research and development of novel and highly efficient chemical conversion methods by integrating catalytic chemistry and electrochemistry, and elucidating their mechanisms. specifically, we are developing electrocatalysts active in the gas-phase electrolysis of co2 using a solid polymer electrolysis cell and elucidating the reaction mechanism with the aim of reducing co2 emissions. We are also developing an electrolytic synthesis system that can synthesize high-concentration pure hydrogen peroxide from water and air, and studying the electrocatalytic mechanism of hydrogen peroxide production. We are also conducting research and development of solid catalysts for the electrolytic epoxidation of propylene, electrolytic reduction of nitrogen, and methane conversion reactions.
