Research Outline
For many years, I have been involved in the technological development of steelmaking processes at steel manufacturers.
The steel industry is one of the sectors with the greatest potential impact on the Green Transition (GX) and is classified as a “hard-to-abate sector” due to the challenges of decarbonization. My research focuses on examining the challenges facing this industry.In particular, I conduct research on optimizing processes in the upstream stages of steel manufacturing—from iron ore reduction through melting, refining, casting, and rolling— from the perspectives of energy and CO2 emissions. I am advancing research and development not only to enhance the performance of individual processes and equipment but also to create new processes and implement optimization measures for the entire steelworks and the surrounding industries that support it.
