Research Outline
The Obara Laboratory conducts research on future nuclear power systems. Current nuclear power generation systems are often considered to be complete, but this is by no means the case. The Obara laboratory is pursuing nuclear power systems that truly meet the needs of society by going back to the principles of nuclear reactors. Specifically, we are researching bleed-burn fast reactors and small reactors that can effectively utilize uranium resources and reduce radioactive waste. We are working on these research projects by conducting various numerical simulations using our own servers and the university's supercomputer.
