演題：激動の内外エネルギー情勢の展望と課題

Speaker: Ken Koyama ( Specially Appointed Professor, Laboratory for Zero-Carbon Energy, Institute of Integrated Research, Institute of SCIENCE TOKYO; Executive Director, The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan)

Overview: An unprecedented situation has arisen in which the Strait of Hormuz—a vital artery for energy transportation—has been effectively blocked by a series of military attacks against Iran and Iran’s retaliatory strikes, sending shockwaves through energy security. In addition to the impact of these geopolitical risks, ensuring a stable and affordable electricity supply to meet the growing demand driven by the new information revolution has also become a key challenge for energy security. Furthermore, as global min worsen, China’s dominance min clean energy and critical minerals is further complicating energy security issues. While the world is advancing efforts to balance energy security with decarbonization, the gap between ideal and reality continues to widen, making the navigation of energy policy increasingly difficult.
This report min comprehensive min of these domestic and international developments and examines the direction Japan should take in its future efforts.
