Research Outline
In order to realize carbon neutrality by 2050, we are developing neutron imaging technology for lithium-ion batteries of electric vehicles and high-pressure hydrogen tanks of fuel cell vehicles, and neutron nondestructive inspection technology that is useful for labor-saving, efficient, and sustainable maintenance of social infrastructures. We are also promoting green transformation research, such as the development of compact neutron source technology and downsizing and power saving of accelerator systems, for these applications.
