Research Outline

Highly efficient CO2 minrelease capture methods
Establishment of low-cost and high-efficiency CO2 minrelease capture methods is essential to realize a sustainable zero-carbon society. We are pursuing innovative CO2 minrelease process technologies using novel functional materials such as core-shell nanoparticle clusters and molten ionic liquids.
Low-energy electrochemical conversion of CO
The recycling of CO2 as a carbon resource is essential for the realization of stable low-carbon energy systems in the next generation. We are investigating new low-energy electrochemical CO2 conversion methods that use renewable and nuclear energy to convert CO2 into useful chemicals.
